Pipe Beveling & Welding


Welding is everybody Knows
We broadly know that the piping is joint by welding process.Now we merely elaborate that what is happening during the welding process by engineering subject metallurgy, which help to understand us
·         the failure  of welding joint in the high temperature & pressure
·         what type of metallurgy changes is happened in the piping material
·         it help the distance between the consecutive welding
·         & helping to predict the failure of the joint
·         Also it shortly show the scenario of welding defect which is opening of new Era of NDT techniques

Pipe is manufactured in about 6 Meter or nearby it’s length , joint by welding process.
Pipe is subjected to very high internal pressure &  some time temperature  depends on the temperature of the conveying fluids, means that pressure is acted on each and every point of cross section area of the pipe.
Hence need uniformity of pipe material so that breakage should not happened.
To avoid any deformation, breakage, pipe should be welded firmly  , for that it should be bevel .
ASME recommended that the bevel angle should be between 35 ° to 37 °
In Oil and gas sector most of the time bevel angle is accepted as 36.5° .
